Granite precision Vee Blocks are available in Laboratory Grade, or Inspection Grade. Our high-quality black granite V blocks are MADE IN THE USA and provide the strongest, most durable and stable surfaces available. Black granite has a heavier density and is made of a finer grain that is less coarse than pink granite. Since granite accessories are often used for moving parts, pink granite tends to flake out in sections and can cause scratching. Black granite V-blocks are more durable and help to avoid scratching.
Selecting a Grade:
When ordering, select Laboratory Grade AA, or Inspection Grade A.
- Laboratory Grade AA is for high precision operations in temperature controlled environments.
- Inspection Grade A granite V blocks are best for general quality control use in final inspection rooms with a CMM.
Selecting V and Base or Universal.
- Universal is the most commonly purchased as it is guaranteed that the V is centered with and parallel to the base, the two sides, and square to the ends.
- V and Base is guaranteed that the base is flat and that the V is centered with the base. The sides are not guaranteed to be parallel.
