GRANITE MASTER SQUARES - 16x16x3 - GRADE AA or Grade A (USA Made)

Available with 5 finished sides or 6 finished sides. Granite Master Squares are absolutely necessary for accurately measuring the perpendicularity, squareness and straightness of the X, Y, and Z axes of machine tools. These ground master granite squares are MADE IN THE USA. Made of black granite, they are stronger and denser than light colored granite, making them more stable and durable. Black granite has a uniformly fine texture and tight porosity, which make it extremely resistant to water absorption or warping from humidity.

Note: The 12x12x3 size is the most commonly used because its 60 lb weight makes it the easiest to move and transport.

A Calibration Certificate is included with every square. Granite master squares are readily available in 5 sizes. Be sure to select whether you want Laboratory Grade AA or Inspection Grade A. Please be aware - lightening holes are not held to a specific tolerance. They are used for lifting and reducing the weight of the Square.

Granite squares will ship in a wood crate box with foam packing that can be used as a case. A heavy duty travel case is available for the 12x12x3 size or ask us about custom cases for larger sizes. These cases are watertight, crush proof and dust proof.
