What is this DB9 RS232 mini tester LED troubleshooting tool?
This is an RS232 mini tester or DB9 cable tester that can be used to troubleshoot bad cables, connections, improper operation of computer or CNC and more. Even if you do not fully understand how to use it you can compare operation on machines working normally and test between cables.

Three most commonly checked applications to verify proper operation.

1. Typical checks involve watching the TD and RD Leds change states or flash to know data transferring from machine or from computer. Verifying computer and machine setup to output.
2. Verify wires 2 and 3 in your cable should be crossed or are wired correctly by the TD and RD at a rest state.
3. Verifies correct channel port of machine is being set.

Please note that we recommend a DB25 tester over the 9 pin due to tougher conditions to get machine side configured instead of wondering if the cable might be your issue. However both are handy when troubleshooting.
