Do you need a Second opinion on what your ballbar test shows?

We will provide you with a Report as well as discuss via phone what we see and give you recommendations on what to check on your machine to determine the problem.

What we need from you

• 2 Ballbar plots preferably all three in .002 in. or .005 in. division scale - XY, XZ, YZ
• Send ballbar plots in PDF or send us actual ballbar files (preferred)
• Any problems you are having currently with the machine
• Contact information

We also need the following information as we did not perform the test

• Make and model
• Picture of machine if possible
• Is the machine boxway or linear guide?
• Does the column or table move in Z axis?
• If larger machine where was the test done? in middle of table or corner?

What is not included?
Parameter tweaks to fix problems can take a long time to figure out and without being there on the job its impossible. We can provide some parameter suggestions for some things, but we will not be repairing or provide phone support nor will we be responsible for anything that goes wrong with your machine. Knowledge and capabilities of the person from your company will greatly determine to what extent you can troubleshoot your machine. We will give a one time phone call, recommendation and some troubleshooting tips based on the reports and problems you are having.


Please note: A machine ballbar test is performed under a no load condition. Due to this reason some problems will not show up or will not replicate cutting conditions and program operation.
