Drip feeding applications are not supported with the USB to serial adapter, however the RS232 cable will support dripfeeding if needed using a true serial port.  These USB to serial converters are recommended for machines in which you need to transfer a program into the machine memory, then run the program from the machine memory - Not dripfeeding.
